Description

Adult

15-22 mm wingspan. Forewings are pale yellowish brown with brown to dark brown fasciate markings. Males are smaller and brighter with a forewing costal fold. Hindwings are pale grey

Larvae

Up to 20 mm long. Yellowish-green or greyish to dark green, a yellowish-brown head and prothoracic plate.

Eggs

Yellow eggs laid in masses of 4-150 primarily on leaves but also on fruits and tree trunks. .

Symptoms/Signs

Early larvae feed underneath a silken web while later instars feed within rolled leaves. Damage to fruit can occur when leaves are woven to fruit.
